10 Foods that are Great for Your Skin

Glowing healthy skin is sought after worldwide.  While there are thousands of products today that offer to do the best job at keeping your skin young and vibrant, the food you eat can influence the shape of your skin the most.  We’ve found some of the best around here:

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are rich in beta-carotene, found in a lot of vegetables, along with being high in other vitamins and minerals and can help give your skin that nice orange glow.

Seeds and Nuts

Most seeds and nuts such as sunflower seeds, walnuts, pistachios, cashews, and almonds are high in omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins A, C, E and more.  In addition to containing good amounts of protein.  These super foods are great not only for your skin but other aspects of your bodies health.

Salmon and Fatty Fish

Fatty fish are high in Omega-3 fatty acids.  Additionally many are high in protein, vitamin E, and many antioxidants.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are not only tasty summer treats but are great for your skin.  Rich in beta carotene and lycopene for glowing skin.

Citrus Fruit

Citrus fruits are great sources for Vitamin C and full of antioxidants.

Blueberries

Blueberries are a tasty source of Vitamin C and full of antioxidants.

Soy

Soy foods like edamame are full of fatty acids.

Carrots

Carrots provide beta carotene and Vitamin A, both great for healthy skin.

Avocados

Avocados help protect your skin from UV rays and are a good source of linoleic acid, vitamins C and E, and healthy fats.

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate not only is a tasty treat, but is full of antioxidants.
